Terms of Service
Last updated 7 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and SwiftQuest. Please read them; by creating an account you agree to them. Open any section to read it.
1. Who we are
SwiftQuest is offered by VarForge (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at info@swiftquest.dev.
2. The service
SwiftQuest is an online course in the Swift programming language. You read short explanations, write Swift in your browser, and we compile and run it on our servers and show you the result. We may improve, reorder or add to the course over time.
3. Your account
- You must be 16 or older to create an account.
- Give an email address you control; we confirm it with a code before your first quest.
- An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can sign in with email and password, or with GitHub or Google. Those services' own terms apply to your accounts with them.
4. Free and Pro
The first two islands, The Swift Camp and Control Flow Keep, are free. Pro opens the whole course, either as a monthly subscription (€12 a month) or as a one-time purchase (€59) that keeps this Swift course, including its updates, for as long as SwiftQuest offers it. Later courses, if there are any, are sold separately. Current prices are on the home page.
If we ever stop offering the course, we will tell you at least 60 days ahead, and you can export your work at any time.
5. Payments, renewal and cancellation
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it sells Pro to you, takes payment, charges any tax, issues receipts and handles refunds, under its own Buyer Terms. We never see your card details.
- A monthly subscription renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; Pro then lasts until the end of the month you paid for.
- A one-time purchase does not renew.
- We may change prices for new purchases. If the monthly price changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
6. Refunds and withdrawal
Your first payment can be refunded in full within 14 days, without a reason. Your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal, are not affected. The full policy is on Refunds and withdrawal.
7. Acceptable use
SwiftQuest runs the code you write, so please use it for learning. You must not:
- try to get around the limits on running code, or reach anything outside the space your code is given: the network, other learners' work, or our systems;
- use SwiftQuest to mine cryptocurrency, attack or scan anyone, send messages or store material that is unlawful;
- share your account, or copy, scrape or republish the course content;
- interfere with the service or with other learners.
We set daily limits on running code to keep the service fair, and may adjust them. If you break these rules we may pause your access to running code or, for serious or repeated breaches, close your account, and we will tell you why.
8. Your code and our course
Your code is yours. You give us permission to store it, run it and show it back to you, only to provide the service. You can export it or delete it at any time.
The course is ours. The lessons, exercises, tests, artwork and software are owned by us or our licensors. Your account gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning.
9. What your progress means
Completed quests and skills record your own learning. They are not certificates or qualifications, and we do not present them as such.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep SwiftQuest available and your work safe, with backups, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may change features, provided Pro still gives you the whole course you paid for.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Deleting it cancels any subscription first, then removes your account and your learning data, as the Privacy Policy describes. We may close an account for a serious breach of these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we will email you at least 30 days before the change applies. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account before then.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Lithuania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there. Please write to us first; we will try to solve it. Consumers in Lithuania may also turn to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority, vvtat.lt.
